1. **Introduction**
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of moving services by Port Baku Movers. By hiring our services, you agree to these terms.
2. **Services Offered**
Port Baku Movers provides residential and commercial moving services, packing services, and related assistance. Any limitations on the services provided will be clearly communicated prior to the move.
3. **Estimates and Pricing**
Estimates are provided based on flat rates or hourly rates, depending on the service. Prices may change due to additional services requested, delays, or unforeseen circumstances. Payment terms include a deposit required to secure your booking, with the balance due upon completion of the service. We accept debit, credit cards, and cash. An 8% tax/processing fee applies when using the Square app.
4. **Customer Responsibilities**
Customers must ensure all items are prepared for the move. Provide clear access to both the pickup and delivery locations. Prohibited items include hazardous materials, live plants, and any items not legally transportable. Ensure that elevators, loading docks, or parking spots are reserved as needed.
5. **Liability**
Port Baku Movers is not liable for minor damages (e.g., scratches or dents) that may occur during the moving process. Customers are encouraged to purchase insurance for valuable items. Details on available insurance options can be provided upon request.
6. **Cancellations and Rescheduling**
Cancellations require a 72-hour notice. A cancellation fee may apply if this notice is not provided. Rescheduling is subject to availability; please contact us as soon as possible to make arrangements.
7. **Complaints and Disputes**
Any complaints should be submitted in writing within 2 days of the service. Disputes will first be attempted to resolve amicably; if not, mediation or arbitration may be pursued.
8. **Governing Law**
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Virginia.
9. **Amendments**
Port Baku Movers reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of significant changes.
10. **Payment and Final Pricing**
The final price is not negotiable. Please refrain from requesting a negotiation. Ensure you are ready for final payment at the end of the move. If our crew waits more than 10 minutes for payment, that time will be charged as working time.
11. **Packing Fragile Items**
All fragile items (e.g., marble tables, glassware, TVs) must be packed in boxes. If you do not have packing materials, our movers will use moving blankets, but we do not take responsibility for any damage to unboxed items.
12. **Delays and Scheduling**
While we strive to adhere to the scheduled start time, unforeseen circumstances such as traffic, weather conditions, or road closures may cause delays. We will communicate any such delays promptly.
13. **Elevator/Loading Dock Usage**
If your move involves the use of a reserved elevator or loading dock, we cannot guarantee completion within a specific timeframe due to the variables inherent in the moving process. Flexibility is appreciated.
14. **Respectful Interactions**
We expect all interactions to be respectful and professional. Aggressive behavior may result in job cancellation without a refund of the deposit.
15. **Service Charges**
If external help is arranged or if clients plan to assist with the move to reduce costs, a minimum service charge equivalent to two hours of labor will still apply.
16. **Safety Policies**
For safety and insurance purposes, clients are not permitted to enter the truck cabin or cargo area or to use company equipment or tools.
17. **Furniture Disassembly/Reassembly**
We do not assume responsibility for issues related to the disassembly or reassembly of used furniture, especially if complications arise from wear and tear.
18. **Appliance Moving Policy**
We are not responsible for appliance issues unless they are directly caused by our team during the move. Please inspect appliances before the move and inform the team leader of any pre-existing damage.
19. **Client Responsibility for Team Size and Package Selection**
It is the client's responsibility to make the final decision on package, truck size, and team size based on our recommendations. We cannot be held responsible for any extended move times or additional costs arising from suboptimal choices.
