Damaged Item Policy

At Port Baku Movers, we take utmost care in handling your possessions during the moving process. Our goal is to ensure that your items arrive at their destination in the same condition as when they were packed. In the unlikely event that an item is damaged during the moving process, we have a comprehensive policy in place to address the situation promptly and fairly. Please read our Damaged Item Policy carefully.

**1. Reporting Damaged Items**

1.1 If you, as a customer of Port Baku Movers, notice any damage to your items during the unloading process or upon unpacking, you must report it immediately to our moving crew.

1.2 In case you are unable to inspect the items right away, you must notify us of any damages within 72 hours of the delivery.

**2. Compensation Threshold**

2.1 If you report any damages within the 72-hour window, Port Baku Movers will handle the situation in the following manner:

   a) For damages amounting to $200 or less: Port Baku Movers will take full responsibility for the damage and compensate you for the assessed value of the item, up to a maximum of $200.

   b) For damages exceeding $200: Port Baku Movers will initiate an insurance claim on your behalf. Our team will guide you through the claim process and assist in providing all necessary documentation.

**3. Late Reporting of Damages**

3.1 In the event that damages are reported to Port Baku Movers after the 72-hour window has lapsed, we regret to inform you that we cannot accept responsibility for the damaged item.

**4. Procedure for Reporting Damaged Items**

4.1 To report a damaged item to Port Baku Movers, please follow these steps:

   a) Take clear photographs of the damaged item and any visible damage to the packaging.

   b) Send an email to Port Baku Movers' Customer Support Email Address with the subject line "Damaged Item Report."

   c) In the email, include the following information:
      - Your full name and contact information.
      - The date and location of the move.
      - Description of the damaged item, including its value.
      - Attach the photographs of the damaged item.

4.2 Port Baku Movers' customer support team will acknowledge your report and guide you through the next steps in the process.

**5. Disclaimer**

5.1 While Port Baku Movers strives to handle your belongings with the utmost care, please understand that some items may be inherently fragile or susceptible to damage despite our best efforts. As such, we encourage you to pack and label your items appropriately to minimize potential risks.

5.2 Port Baku Movers' Damaged Item Policy is subject to the terms and conditions outlined in our overall Moving Services Agreement, which you agreed to upon booking our services.

**6. Customer-Packed Items**

6.1 At Port Baku Movers, we offer packing services to ensure the safe transportation of your belongings. However, we understand that some customers prefer to pack their items themselves. While we are committed to treating all your possessions with care, it is essential to note that we cannot assume responsibility for items that are improperly packed by customers.

6.2 Items that are packed by customers are not covered under Port Baku Movers' liability for damages during the moving process. If any damage occurs to items that were packed by the customer, we regret to inform you that we cannot be held liable for their condition.

6.3 We strongly advise customers who choose to pack their belongings themselves to exercise caution and follow industry best practices when packing fragile or valuable items. If you have any doubts or questions regarding proper packing techniques, Port Baku Movers' moving experts will be glad to offer guidance and advice.
